Metamito is a musical project that seeks to blur the line between dream and reality. It’s the result of multi-instrumentalist and producer António Miguel’s imagination. Hailing from Sintra, near Lisbon, he cuts a solo figure on the stage while creating dynamic covers of his own songs using a Loop Station and several musical instruments. His music draws from different musical genres, from dream-pop to psych-folk, always sharing a psychedelic ethereal touch while exploring emotions ranging from calm to epiphany. At times, the sound of traditional instruments merges with that of synthesizers, leading to a new concept. Following four months of countless performances, Metamito emerged as the winning project of the most recent Music Unlock contest, sponsored by Rádio SBSR.FM.
