Grandfather’s House emerged in mid-2012 in Braga, as a one-man-band project from their current guitarist Tiago Sampaio. His sister, Rita Sampaio, joined the band in 2013, as a vocalist and they went on to release their first EP in 2014, "Skeleton". After this, João Vitor Costeira joined the band as their drummer. In March 2016, they released their first album, "Slow Move", a synth-pop album, contrasting with the blues from their first EP. More than 100 concerts later, they have released their third album, "Diving", in 2017 - the result of an artistic residence in the "GNRation" space in Braga, counting several guests such as Afolfo Luxúria Canibal (vocals), Mário Afonso (saxophone) and Nuno Gonçalves (keyboards) - the latter currently still accompanies the band. However, João Vítor Costeira is no longer part of Grandfather's House and Ana João Oliveira came in to the drums. "Diving" was considered by numerous magazines as one of the best albums of 2017.
