When talking about
alternative rock, there is no doubt that Foals is one of the most creative and
exciting acts to appear in the last 15 years. In 2008, their debut album, Antidotes, met all expectations of the audience and the critics. Recorded in New
York and produced by Dave Sitek, guitarist of the band TV on The Radio, the
album shows a band committed to their own freedom. Their following records, Total Live Forever (2010), Holy Fire (2013) and What Went Down (2015) raised the bar artistically and consolidated the group's own language
amongst their many influences. Krautrock, indie rock, dance-punk, math rock,
post-punk and even techno contribute to a sound difficult to label, sometimes
freer and more experimental and sometimes capable of captivating an ever-wider
audience. 2019 was the year they returned to the studio with what is the most
ambitious of the band's albums to date. Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost is a monumental piece of work in two parts, which were released separately and
show a band at the top of its game. "Exits" and "In
Degrees" are two of the songs that will no doubt captivate Portuguese
audiences in the summer of 2022. Following their concert on the Super Bock
stage on 16th July, Foals will be performing an unmissable DJ set on
the Somersby stage.
