Filipe Karlsson portrays a slow to and fro between the ocean waves and the production studio in the shape of an unpretentious, inspiring and groovy pop album. In 2020, this Portuguese-Swedish artist debuted as a solo act in the midst of the pandemic. In fact, his EP Teorias do Bem Estar [Welfare Theories] would prove to be more essential than ever. This work masterfully combines decades-old shiny Swedish pop with his band’s (Zanibar Aliens) rock music. The end result is full of catchy guitar riffs and keyboard melodies. 2020 also brought Modéstia à Parte, an EP including tracks like "Razão" and "A Paragem", which would, months later, be performed in sold-out venues such as Lisbon’s Altice Arena, Mario Matos Theatre or Porto’s Casa da Música. Determined to carry on spreading positive vibes in song form, Karlsson is already working on his next project. His latest single, "Vento Levou", has a certain taste of summer and will be one of the songs to look forward to at the 26th edition of Super Bock Super Rock. Karlsson will be on the LG by Rádio SBSR.FM stage on 16th July.
