Music was always around in Dino D’Santiago’s life. His parents were in the church’s choir and it was there precisely that Dino and his two other brothers started singing every Sunday until he left home to be a part of a TV talent show which boosted his career as a singer and a composer. For several years, Dino was the ideal vocalist ahead of a hip-hop and r&b generation in Portugal. In 2010, he went with his father on a trip to their family roots, to the island of Santiago. This was the experience that really changed his musical trajectory. “Eva”, released in 2013, was very critically acclaimed and showed his relationship with Cape Verdean music - the music from his childhood. Today, Dino D’Santiago dedicates himself to uniting the traditional rhythms of morna, batuku and funaná to to contemporary r&b and electronic prog music. His latest album, “Mundu Nôbu” was released at the end of 2018. In this new album, Dino affirms himself as one of the greatest voices in Portuguese music. “Nôs Funaná”, “Como seria” or “Nova Lisboa” are some of the songs that will make you sing and dance in Super Bock Super Rock.
