The opening chapter of Capitão Fausto’s story takes place in 2011, with their debut album Gazela. In it we can find the urgency of youth and irresistible pop anthems that leave us wanting more. Their second album, Pesar do Sol, arrived in 2014 to great anticipation. This album lent its name to several memorable concerts at big and small festivals, clubs and theatres up and down the country. Their third album was released in 2016 under the title Capitão Fausto Têm os Dias Contados and is, without a doubt, one of the best Portuguese albums in the last decade. A Invenção do Dia Claro was the band’s fourth album, released in 2019. Tracks like “Sempre Bem”, “Faço as Vontades”, “Amor, a Nossa Vida” and “Boa Memória” show a band being reborn in each album, renewing themselves in a bid to build a solid music career, one that has been going for over 10 years.
Following a celebratory concert at Lisbon’s Campo Pequeno venue, Capitão Fausto and conductor Martim Sousa Tavares join forces once again for a unique and exclusive concert at Super Bock Super Rock. One hour of music to be led by Sousa Tavares with songs by Capitão Fausto and others that will see the band become part of a music orchestra on the Super Bock stage. During this unprecedented show, especially conceived for the festival, the audience will be able to enjoy the band’s hits marking their 10-year lifespan. An unmissable opportunity taking place on 16th July on the Super Bock stage.
