C. Tangana helped redefine and spread urban music thanks to his passion and vision. He is an active member of the rap collective Agorazein with Sticky M.A., Jerv, Agz, Fabianni e I-Ace, but he’s also known for his solo work. Greatly influenced by Beastie Boys, C. Tangana starting making music early on. Having adopted the stage name Crema, he got some concerts, collaborations and the release of a few works under his belt. His debut album as a member of Agorazein, Kind of Red, saw the light in 2011. The same year would see the arrival of his eponymous debut album as a solo artist, well received by critics and audiences alike. His musical identity would, however, become more evident in LOVE’S, his 2012 album, where he combined traditional Spanish music with hip hop and trap. Over the next few years, C. Tangana shot up in popularity, thanks to a few hit songs such as "Lo Hace Conmigo", "Antes de Morirme" (a massive hit in collaboration with Rosalía) and "Persiguiéndonos". His music transcended the Spanish borders and began winning followers around the world. After the success of Idolo (2017), C. Tangana started work on his album El Madrileño, released in 2021, and to many, his best ever. It candidly explores highly personal subjects, in an introspective and brutally honest way. Musically, this album broadens his horizons with collaborations with industry legends like Reis Ciganos, José Feliciano, Toquinho and Eliades Ochoa, as well as contemporary artists like Omar Apollo, Ed Maverick and Carin Leon, among others. In the first 24 hours upon its release, El Madrileño amassed over five million streams on Spotify Spain and all 14 tracks featured on the Top 50 in the country, making it the most successful release by a Spanish artist in history. The album was also no. 1 on Spotify’s Top 10 Global New Albums and no. 6 in the US. C. Tangana has also been nominated for the Grammy Academy awards and has won three Latin Grammys. Songs like "Demasiadas Mujeres" and "Tú Me Dejaste de Querer" have fans everywhere and will be greatly anticipated by the Portuguese audience on 15th July 2022 at Super Bock Super Rock’s Super Bock stage.
